Just picked up a new to me 02 YZ250. Bike is as new (true time capsule) and looking for setup suggestions for HS/Enduro from members who may have had one. The one good thing is that most of the upgrades I made to my 03 YZ125 can be moved over if I find that I like the platform. Right now I'm going to change the tranny oil, flush the tank, clean the carb, change the plug put some hand guards on it and ride it stock to see how it is.
Let me know what you guys think???

That is a great bike, great HS bike. I never owned one but had the chance to ride that model a couple times and loved it. Great score!

Rode the YZ250 for the first time today. Bike ran great. Compared to the YZ125 it has a bunch more power and speed. More power when rolling on the throttle and definitely more compression when starting.
Spent most of the morning working with the clickers to see if I could keep the front end from drifting. Worked marginally better, shock has never been serviced so that will be one of the first things on the checklist. Tires are stock Dunlop D739 also 10 years old so probably pretty stiff with age also they are a intermediate to Hard tire with a stiff casing.
Overall good first ride.
