I will be at the "ranch" (Olustee) Saturday and Sunday.
Will ride Osceola and also can host youngsters needing a place to practice (but not both at the same time).
New member gooding: what bike do you ride and does it have a FL tag?
Most importantly: how slow can you go?
I do not have internet at the ranch (after 5 pm on Friday), so if you want to ride please call me 954--614-0874.

Carry an extra plug and wrench unless that 300 is jetted perfectly.

Depends on jetting and riding pace. Extra plug/wrenches is a minimum MUST, just to be safe. I always carry a tow rope, too. You never know what the Osceola Gremlins have in store.

Relax. "Osceola's curse" aka "Osceola's user fee" only apply to Mundy or a member of his party. With Mundy currently wintering in New Joisy, the forest is now safe to ride, at least as far as logs are concerned. I rode Osceola both days this weekend. What a difference from last weekend. The cold was fierce (thermal wear is a good thing) and the forest south of I-10 is COMPLETELY FLOODED. No place to ride. Scott came over with his orange 300 (a very nice bike!!) ready to ZIP, but we could only SPLISH AND SPLASH. There was water everywhere. We really needed a raft, or at least a snorkel. At the end of the ride I was thoroughly soaked to mid-thigh. Sadly, Scott belongs to the category "minimal aptitude for slowness". I am finding out that so many riders lack even the most basic slowness skills. A dismal state of affairs indeed. Kudos to Scott for braving the cold, the deep water holes, and the hazards of extreme slowness. We just have to improve the hand signals. There is a big difference between : "ride around this one" and "plow straight in"! OOPS!

98% of the Hare Scramble course was dry today. Consider it as an alternative. It can use some burn in (and some grooming).

We tried to explain the wonders of the KTM breed but for a long time you seemed to be put off by the color. Now you know, all is good in the world.

Keep us updated, please. They use shotguns for turkey, pellets don't do as much damage to riders.

Hello new to the forum and riding in Jacksonville. Anybody riding Osceola tomorrow? I know its supposed to rain, like I said I am new to riding here and dont know how well those trails hold up with a little rain? I am also trying to figure out how to ride the lease. I have looked on the river city riders website and this forum but can seem to find to much on it. I am probably just dumb though and missing it. Thanks!

You will need to join RCDR before you can ride the lease. We have a meeting Tuesday Feb 11th that you can come to and check us out. Details are on the front page of the website regarding the meeting. We always have rides all over the place from the property to Ocala National Forest on both weekdays and weekends. Be sure and come see us Tuesday-----

Great riding on the Osceola dirt roads today but pontoons are needed for the trails.
