Gorgeous day at the FTR Hare Scramble in Ormond Beach. Rain and high wind during the night, but it cleared by morning leaving behind flooded soils and a fine soup of cow manure and mud. In short: perfect for dirt racing.
Since Doug is taking a sabbatical from the Silver Tigers Team, John Adams has gallantly stepped in. First race ever and he did extremely well, completing two full laps of an impossibly wet course, while riding a heavy, street-ready bike. Kudos to him. I think we will see him again as the racing bug has bitten....
Other RCDR members seen today: Barry and Andrew Miller. Of course Mr.D (aka Silver Tiger #1) who is steadily improving his performance with each race. Racing tomorrow: Superman Aki, Shelby, possibly Don Learn, and Mark Beebe.
I think this guy has outgrown his bike...
