Those who were unable to attend today’s club party at North Florida Motocross missed a hell of a good time. The weather was perfect, the track in good shape, great attendance and the food was the best ever!
We had the usual assortment of studly gentlemen of all ages:
And the Silver Tigers, of course
Real men wear tags….
And headlights too!
Santa arrived in the person of Barry,
bearing gifts for good boys who wear size 34 pants.
Mr. D. immediately requisitioned a KTM jersey and KTM socks, while John A. got away with blue pants which match his Yamaha- he will be so much faster when he is color coordinated!
Hey Santa Barry, I have been good and I wear size 34… can you put me on your list next time? And your hand-me-downs look like first class to me, compared to my usual ragamuffin riding apparel (it is called “the Mundy look”). Just saying…
Moving right along: I did not know that our President Don Learn, among his many skills, is an excellent cook.
His pasta salad, low country boil with shrimp and sausage, barbecue chicken and pork were YUMMY!
(I suggest Don expand his motorcycle shop with a diner section: “good beer and good food - your bike repaired while you drink and eat”. I would spend a lot of money at a place like that!)
Everybody loved the food..
This proves that even Superman eats now and then…
Thanks also to all who brought desserts (homemade and not) and other munchables. I do not know how people could hit the track again after the scrumptious lunch, but they did, and without any casualties.
This poor family ran out of numbers and had to make do with the same “864” for Dad and junior. Sad! (Thank you Mrs. for the excellent sweets…. Yummy!).
Many thanks also to Holly Learn and to our vicepresident Jess Polvikovski for all the planning and work they have put into organizing this fun party. Great job!
It was great to see old and new friends. 2020 will be my 11th year with RCDR. Good friendships and fun days, for which I am very grateful. We have much to look forward to in 2020, and I am confident the search for a new lease will be successful. Onward!
In the more immediate future I hope many will choose to join us in Ocala. Hunting season ends next weekend- YESSSS! Shoot us an email if you want to come and ride- weekend or weekdays. ggiovanna@att.net
We are also planning to ride the Armenia Dual Sport in May and possibly combine with a trip to Brushy Mountain. Stay tuned!
Very best wishes for 2020 to all of us and our families: health, serenity, safe and fun riding
