All, Way too many people to sincerely thank individually for their work efforts over the H.S. weekend. From the seasoned pros that have seen these conditions before and knew how to respond, to the family members, new members, and first timers that were on hand to do whatever had to be done. I was proud to be part of it all. I think this race will be one that the participants will call a survival event, and in years to come will add it to their "This is no b.s." bench-racing tales.
So....now there is one more critical, but much more leisurely task to complete if we expect the landowner to continue to be accommodating to us for future events: On Saturday April 9, and Sunday April 10, from 9:00 a.m. the property will be open to us for final cleanup. Here is a list of what needs to be done:
All course arrows, particularly any that can be seen from any road, need to be pulled. They are biodegradeable, so they can be discarded on the ground. Easy peasy.
All course and parking lot ribbon has to be removed and disposed of in the trash.
All the wooden stakes and posts need to be pulled and returned to the club's trailer. It is still in the parking area.
Best Regards, John B.

John,
I want to say thank you for your leadership and direction as the Trail Boss for the Anchor 3 HS. Without question, the HS was a real success even under extremely challenging conditions. I also want to thank the RCDR leadership members, and the especially the countless club members who did any and everything that needed to be done (most of it on the fly).
You said it perfectly, "Way too many people to sincerely thank individually for their work efforts over the H.S. weekend. From the seasoned pros that have seen these conditions before and knew how to respond, to the family members, new members, and first timers that were on hand to do whatever had to be done. I was proud to be part of it all."
I'm proud to call you my friend, and I'll gladly ride with and work with you anytime, anywhere.

Thanks Joe. I hope you can make it out this weekend. You don't want to miss out on all the fun we'll have yanking those landscape timbers out of the ground.

Woodie, As of Saturday p.m., all arrows are pulled, all ribbons are in the trash, and all stakes/posts are returned to the trailer. You may come across something we missed, but otherwise, good riding on Sunday.
P.S. Be sure to steer clear of that big rut before Randy's bridge! You know the one.

Always fun! I met a few new members that have never been involved in this type event. It was really nice to see people pitch in and do whatever they could to help. This was a difficult race to keep going and it is reassuring to see new people carrying on the tradition RCDR has developed over the ears. You guys ROCK!
