Attention Volunteers---The park should be open Fri.,Sat. Sun.--Pick a fellow volunteer to go out and "ride the ribbons" (don't ride alone). A new pee-wee section is in the woods to the right of the first stop sign, perimeter trail/white tail way, and was DR'ed, burn it in, some face slappers @ last section. Burn a copy of the route sheets and maps (limited supply and NOT for general public) and carry them to find your way. START 0.0 blue border mile marker@ stop sign by Piglet, refer to route sheet. Mile 1.3 marker may need to be moved to Hogpen ,due to last minute DR work. Mile 5.6 crossing into Big Pines, there is a when wet/when dry split @5.7, go the when wet trail, if you miss it and continue thru to 6.0, DO NOT TURN RIGHT DOWN One Rough Loop, turn left back to improved rd. and go back to entrance of Big Pines and turn right @ split, 8.1 write in-- @ Gator Loop above --L improved rd. If you so desire to go back out, W's need to be added wherever the single track comes out or crosses a trail/road. Sprinkle some more orange arrows (NOT at entrances of trail) we are waiting for proper signage. Supplies in trailer. As of today the loop is set in STONE-- no more changes, burn it in, tweak it a little, mark it , be sure it is as safe as possible!!! ENJOY!!! In honor of a very valued member who passed away this past year, I'd like to dedicate this as "TIM'S LOOP". He would have been stoked!!! No official "volunteer day" this weekend. On another note, I was asked to possibly set up a loop for the Rotary Club "Walk-a-thon" in Feb. on the Horse trails, and we got started on it today. If you have a day during the week and want to go give me a call. It's also for our Jan. 24th club party. May be your only chance for another year! Call me if you have questions--904-465-2013 p.s. John B. you can pipe in too!

What can I say? Got a good morning workout yesterday on the DR helping Russell clear one of his fun gallberry sections. Then a great ride on the KTM scouting and arrowing the equestrian side in prep for the club party on Jan 24. Perfect weather and perfect day! +1 on dedicating our single track loop as "Tim's Loop".

Three thumbs up to Mundy, Johnny B and ALL the volunteers who have made TIM'S LOOP a reality. I am looking forward to riding it at the club's picnic - slowly, of course.

It's been a great experience working with everyone that volunteered. The experience itself was worth the work. I don't think any of the members that haven't been up there yet will be disappointed once the trails are open (soon!) for all to ride.

Did anyone make it out to ride last weekend? If so, post it, e-mail or call me, or send up smoke signals!

Finished the Horse Trail section yesterday, for our Club Picnic, Jan. 24. Tweaked the Pee-Wee section so it needs some DR work. Backdoor Tree section can be cleaned and arrowed (very short, need club chainsaw for firewood) Loop needs to be arrowed, W's put up. Just alot of riding to get it more defined. Not adding or changing anything to loop right now. Regular time--8:30 Sunday, dress warm, bring pouch, stapler and 9/16" staples. Weather looks good. Check previous posts for pertinent info.

Hey buddy, I'm here and will show Sunday morning. I also picked up your award plaques from Don and will bring them with me.
Will there be room for RV trailer to park at club event?

RV is a touchy situation, as they have never allowed camping. Remind me and I'll get an answer for you.

Another great weekend, Pee-wee done, about 5-6 miles of trail marked better, another short section which cuts out the first improved road intersection pretty much done, firewood cut for picnic, new section scouted for later , just a good day. Couple of us going out Wednesday to final the horse trail, haul firewood over to parking, maybe even "wet-a-line" Looks like dry weather is holding for the week, so, last push will be next weekend.

This is the last Sunday, before the party. Last minute things to do. Little DR work, alot of arrowing, and signage. I will be going out next week , for some prep on the horse side.

According to management, it is very doubtful that the park will be open this weekend. Needs another week to drain. Already planning to re-start trail work for upcoming enduro in November. we'can access horse side on weekends depending on horse riders presence. I have a huge section that we can close off and be to ourselves. Stay tuned, and talk to your trail buddies, get some excitement stirring!
