Some of us went out yesterday, tightened up START area, fields. Lot of arrows vanished, couldn't even find them laying on the ground! Looks like "envelope arrows" will be the way to go in fields. Lots to do Friday, I will have a list of "MUST-DO's" posted at club trailer for the entire weekend. Tent frame is ready for top and legs, secure to ground. Toying with the idea of cutting fence into 1 ft. rolls for high vis and easy to carry. Caution tape attached to barrels just blow over, going with short stakes and tying off . No more posts after Thursday night.

Just a few small items to address on the sections from the pipe tunnel exit, to the long fence line that's just past Aki's Hill, not including anything in the plowed field: If any of the below was already done on Sunday April 11, I salute you. Scott or Aki may wish to comment on their observations also.
.Check and repair as needed; existing arrows, stakes, ribbons and barricades.
.Improve arrowing/ribboning from the paved road gate to the double greens going onto Diamondback.
.Stake and arrow the Berm Section.
.Ribbon off areas on the long whooped-out straightaway as needed after exiting the Berm Section.
.For safety, fencing is needed at end of this straightway where it turns 90 degrees to the left, where it's adjacent to Diamondback. Pre-turn arrows also needed before this 90 degree left.
.Plainly mark the mini detour along the EMT road.
.Arrow and ribbon the entirety of Emit's Hill (aka The Peninsula), both Saturday and Sunday sections. (Only stakes and breadcrumbs are there now).
.Cut and remove fallen tree branches at the last ~100 yards of the Sunday course on Emit's Hill.
.Complete the arrowing and ribboning of the long straight section from Aki's Hill to "Gate 3". This is a Sunday Section only.
.More arrowing, staking and ribboning needed along the entire Sunday Section from "Gate 3" to the top of the steep hill that ends at Aki's Hill.
.Improve arrowing and ribboning around Aki's Hill.

I'm going to see if the members who worked the event , can come back one day the following weekend, and get a little riding in. Besides I intend to go out then and re-arrange the enclosed trailer before being transported to another location.
Possible ride day and clean-up of clubs property--i.e. tents, chairs, and misc. to go into enclosed trailer. Nothing labor intensive. I will be waiting to hear from some interested in meeting---probably Sunday. Real casual, no pressure. If your curious to see what the H/S did to the property, come out for a while. Looks like long range weather looks dry. If you missed the H/S work days, you can make up a day credit then!

Mundy, are we on for Sunday? We may be able to come, especially if we can ride the property. We have never ridden through a battlefield before... At what time? Would we need to bring anything (beside lunch)?

I talked with His Grumpy Majesty on Friday evening. I could get through his mumbling and sarcastic remarks...
It looks like it will rain Saturday night. The property owner does not have a problem letting our trailer stay there one more week. His Majesty does not mind taking a break from the hard toil and pass this weekend.
I am still trying to dry out my boots from last weekend's event... there may be some minnows in there.
Darrell's Stinky is in pieces... cleaning and repacking the exhaust from all that "spooge". (Two stroke aficionados will know what I am talking about.) And Rooster(the 505) is waiting for a new battery. My Pumpkin is in the beauty shop for a clutch rebuild and refresh.
Therefore.... the Queen of Slow, Silver Tiger and Silver Tiger-In Training will be at Gatorback NEXT Sunday, ready to finally ride the course after swimming and sloshing it so many times.
And yes, we will confirm with His Majesty, but this is the plan for us.
I don't know why Gi worded her post the way it is. I did not cancel going out to pick up tents, etc., just that I have not heard from many people, and was not going to head out there in the "hopes" that some one would show up. If at least 3-4 people want to go out tomorrow, you have to call me and confirm. I just want to be there and insure the trailer is packed properly and efficiently. Can't guarantee weather from week to week!
Jimmy Benton is rallying to get some help @ Gatorback, (not this weekend) but the following, to get some last minute chores finished! Please get in touch with him to be sure he has all the help he needs!
