Just got word that the park will be open, so gate will be open, still looking to park at horse side unless horses are present. (wingin' it) I'll have radios for crews.

Good, productive weekend. Monty has a huge section to braedcrumb. Scott M. has a thick section close to parking (needs able bodies). Mark Wolf (expressed possibly going on Saturdays)and John B. scouted a section on atv side. I have some short ,simple sections for some. Weather looks good for this weekend. If I hear from some people and the park is open, We'll meet at horse parking @ 8:30 on Sunday. 904-465-2013 (that's a phone #, by the way!)

For all that look on forum, I say we ride Saturday if park is open, work the trail Sunday and relax and enjoy family on Monday. If that sounds good, check in here or txt me.

Notice to anyone planning to ride St. Mary's Shoals when the park is open: There is now a full time employee monitoring passes to enter the park. I met Kevin last Sunday Aug.29, and as of then he was unaware of RCDR's volunteer activities, and of the RCDR volunteer passes that some of us use for park access. I explained to him what's going on, but not sure if he understood or cared without official notification. I hope Tom Barton or Steve Harvey got the word to him by now. Regardless, be sure you have your park vehicle and OHV passes displayed. If you are using the RCDR volunteer pass, make sure it's displayed, and be prepared to explain it to Kevin.

Kevin is now informed. Only request was, that our "volunteer only" signs at gates be hung on fence with no rope going across (one grouchy old dog walker complained).

I'm not making any yes or no decisions, if someone wants to go Sunday and layout some easy sections, I'm good. Plenty to do. Gotta break in a new cvt belt anyway.

Another good day with a minimal crew. Some easy pine sections, hardwoods, clear-cut areas, and existing trail needs to be tweaked. Loop is coming together. North graded road going out to end of property still closed. Plenty to do on south and east end. Long range weather looks good for next weekend. Need people (skilled and un-skilled) Will update later in week.
