Worked an ECEA event, they don't do things the same up here!!!! AMA rules, state police requirements, fire truck on scene at pits. Nothing starts on time. INTERESTING!!!! NEOC--another series started by private individual---Attendance for 2 day event--approx. 400-500 kids/youth on Sat. , 500-600 riders on Sunday! Can't wait to see that. Already had wheels on the ground last Saturday! Looking to do an AMA National D/S this Sat.

What's gas cost down there? Been dropping steadily up here--$3.19 for regular. BUT--looks like I'll have to make a New Years resolution, break out the patches and quit smoking---UGH---popular brands are $7.32 plus tax!

MAN--do they do things WEIRD up here!!! Picture this---NEOC series, one of the biggest attended racing venues up here---Sunday a.m. race with about 300 riders in C classes alone! First 4-5 rows get off no problem, but one class divided into 2 rows, say 120 riders take off, and after some grass track sections, get funnelled down to 100 yards of true single-track along side paved road and then must make a right-hand hair-pin turn across a 3 foot wide wooden bridge over this paved road--OF COURSE-- 1 guy near the front falls on the bridge!!!! Line of idiots with no where to go. Get the picture? WELL THAT AIN'T ALL!!! They gotta come back across the same road sometime!!! Same thing, from the other side, 20 feet apart!!!!! Local cops had there cameras and coffee out and wouldn't budge from that spot for nothing!!!!

Making my escape tomorrow a.m. Bound for the Greenville S.C. area, and try my hand at gold panning again. I'll be off-line for a while, but will still have access to my e-mail. Of course cell phone. Let you know where I end up.

Made it to Fountain Inn, S.C., rubbing elbows with the likes of Randy Hawkins/AM-PRO YAMAHA. Home of the Greenville Enduro Riders, promoters of the Little Brown Jug Enduro, and I can see first hand why this is a premier event, the terrain is UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Had to show them how to build a bridge capable of handling a truck/trailer combined(we ain't talking 4x4 stringers)but, telephone poles and real 2x8 rough sawn oak planking, lag bolted down!!!! Got a bucket full of good looking panning material, out of Randy's creek. Will let you know how that turns out. Phone # and e-mail are still the same(HINT).

Finally got the wheels dirty at Enoree OHV Trails in Sumter Forest. Here's a report. Start on "easy" 1 mile loop---- downhill, jump, jump, jump, bottom turn, uphill, jump, jump, turn, turn, jump, jump, bowl turn , downhill, jump, jump, turn, turn, turn, turn, jump, jump, turn, turn ,turn, turn ,turn, jump, jump, jump,--repeat for next 3/4 mile. 2nd loop --1 3/4 miles ---REPEAT of first mile, with more bowl-turns.
3rd loop ---6 miles---- REPEAT of first and second loop, with way bigger bowl turns, creeks, bridges, under the access road, stop and get over the dizzy feeling.
4th loop---REPEAT of previous loops with more steep up/down hills.
Probably missed a loop or two. Durhamtown trail cutters could take lessons from these people.
WOOHOO!!!!!
