As seen on the Dixie Dual Sport forum, upcoming is the ...
7th Annual Gobbler Adventure Ride for Foster Care Kids
Saturday November 16, 2013
Gainesville, FL
Last Day To Register AND Receive A T-Shirt is October 20.
Last Day To Register is November 6!
Join us on this fabulous back roads tour of Alachua County as you make your way past houses farms and fields, down tree lined roads and across rivers. This is Florida Gators country!
Route will include an optional scenic and historic stop at a working cracker farm homestead Florida State Park.
This is a great ride to do good in the community, meet people, and take a tour through the country! Great for beginners, people who like to ride two-up, and even is big-bike friendly! So bring your XT250 KLR650, or your Yamaha Tenere! Everyone will have a great time.
The roadways will vary from paved to limestone, to some sandy places. Since every rider's ability is different, we'd like to say this is an easy route, though one or two people may find it challenging (in either road conditions or mileage). This is set up as a fun tour through the country, not as a challenging test of rider and machine.
Fuel and Lunch are on your own, and will be available along the route.
Bikes must be street legal and tagged for highway use. Riders must be legally licensed to operate a motorcycle. Passengers are welcome but need to register just like a rider would.
So come join us on a great ride through some very pretty areas you don't get to see very often!
Rider/Passenger + T-shirt = $35
150 +/- miles

I may try to go this year myself since it's in Gainesville and not so far away, so how about some other River City folks?
