Just a quick note to introduce myself - my son and I have joined the club (from the Feb meeting) and are eagerly waiting for the 18th to sound test our bikes and start riding the lease. We have old CRF's a 100 for Dan, and a 450R for me (I know, I know....! hoping to pass the noise!!!).
We live at Rivertown so the lease has a strong ally for if I ever hear complaints (none so far - and to be honest never even heard a bike).
We will be at the clean up to help as well - looking forward to ride with and meet you all. Cheers Rob

Rob, thank you for introducing yourself and we look forward to seeing you and your son out riding at the lease. Remember when you are getting your 450r ready for the sound level testing we're also inspecting for 1) header wrap from the cylinder to the first frame member, and 2) spark arrestors (and depending on the year of your 450r it could require two), additionally your son's bike will require a spark arrestor as well. Danny and I will be performing the testing on the 18th so we'll see you then.

Ok thanks for the heads up - it is a 2003 450r - does that require two spark arrestors? I had Don Learn put an arrestor on the 100 so I think that one will be good - the 450 will be the challenge - I think.

Your 2003 CRF450R only requires a single spark arrestor. 👍

Here's a link to a Spark Arrestor for your 2003 CRF450R on Rocky Mountain ATV MC.
Finally, due to the age of your bike it would be a good idea to repack your silencer when you add the spark arrestor if you haven't done this already.
