Our ex-President and long term member Barry Miller has announced the passing of his beloved father Tim Miller, a founder and great supporter of RCDR. Those of us "oldies" can remember many happy days together in the woods and on the tracks, and many adventures shared.
For me he was an example of a life well lived in all its aspects: as a citizen, a father, a husband, a member of his church and riding clubs, and a man who enjoyed his fun activities and did them well. I think of him as one of the most elegant riders I have ever seen: accurate, precise, in control. He made it look easy and effortless! And he was always kind with his fellow riders and generous with his help and advice.
The trace he has left in the lives of his family and all who have known him remains. Nothing is lost. Love endures.
I want to propose a yearly award in his name. Let's think together of a way to celebrate an outstanding man and friend.
A big hug to Barry, his sister and his mother.
