Figured I would start a thread so that you can show off your bikes and give updates as to what your improving, modifying or maintaining on your bikes. This could be fun and informative so sign on and start posting so that everyone can be inspired and maybe get excited. I'll start. Yesterday I took delivery of a 1975 Honda CR125 Motocross bike. It is definitely rough and needs a ton of work but for some reason I like the bikes of my youth. Plan is to get it running and maybe do a Vintage race or two next season. Definite obsession going on with the 125's, but somebody has to ride them. Full photos are on Photobucket, s1240.photobucket.com/user/ssummey/library/1975%20CR125m?sort=3&page=1Today I also pulled out the YZ125 for a well deserved bath and oil change. I fear that I have neglected him/her (I do not name my bikes) after my last ride out at the lease a few weeks ago and the guilt of seeing it in the garage in all it's filth was to much to take. I ordered new handlebars for my 'borrowed' kodiak quad. She and I rolled down a 60 foot hill at gatorback yesterday. Ouch. Just scrapes and bruises on me. She did the usual quad thing of throw you off and roll over you. Lucky to have EMT on hand to declare me fit to continue course work for the 1 o'clock race. This hobby is just too much fun.

Scott, I can't wait to see what that 1975 Honda looks like when you get it cleaned up. It reminds me of my first bike a 1974 Honda XR75.

Is that big cushy seat because they had no suspension.....hahaha Needs some work, but it looks solid. Nice find. So what did I do to my bike today? Well, I walked past it in the garage

I installed the big Baja Design lights into the 450, rode around scaring neighbors with those lights and helmet lights on. Installed a new sprocket into spare rear wheel. Just getting ready for Perry Mountain.

Kinda like Barry, I've just been walking by my bike at home, but last week I went on a tour of north Seattle and got to try out Nathan's two bikes.

Put some new fork seals in a set of 1974 Honda TL125 forks. I'll re-install the wheel tomorrow and maybe get a picture up on this thread if I can figure out how. Easy install and they work like butter. Frame and assorted parts are off to the powder-coaters for the 75 Honda CR125 that I'm re-building. I know i've gone off the deep end with the old bikes but what can I say, they have style.

Front wheel in and putted (as it's only 8-9hp) a little around the driveway today. So far i've painted the front fender, cleaned up the hardware, cleaned out the fork installed new fork seals and fluid and put on new rear shocks since the stock ones we're dead. Still hasn't had it's first washing. Maybe this week. Original Dealer decal, Bike is stock including the original Bridgestone tires, minus the grips and clutch lever.

New member as of this past meeting. Just picked up this 2008 KTM 450 XCRW. Had a leaking countershaft seal. Replaced that and had to loosen the chain. If looks crazy loose compared to the street bikes I rode for years, but I'm told it looks good now. Attachments:

Nice find. Looks to be in great shape. Yep, chain looks right. KTM's tend to need a "looser" chain. Takes a little getting used to, even for veteran offroaders. You'll hear it chattering when you're riding, if its too loose.
I like the oversized pegs and the Six Days seat! I'd suggest putting a skid plate on your soon-to-purchase list.

Pulled the motor out of the RM last night. Dropping it at Don's today so he can, hopefully, make one good motor out of two that have differing problems.

Swapped my 450 XCRW for a newer 200 XCW. I could use some critical eyes to evaluate my machine as well as some assistance getting the suspension set up for me. I will have it in the truck at the meeting Tuesday and plan on coming early. Please take a look at it for me.

Congrat's. I'm sure you can get plenty of help and opinions Get the right spring rates put in. Those bikes are typically sprung for 160 lb riders.

The frame and tank look great! Did you paint or powder coat the frame?

Rick,
I had the frame and a number of other parts powder coated by Powdertech in Orange park. Other parts we're sent to Spacecoast plating in Melbourne for chroming and I'm in the process of having the rims re-anodized and the fork sliders hard chromed. Other parts I've picked up from various suppliers and Ebay. Still lots of work to be done.
