How about it guys and gals? Prerun Baja 1000 next year early November and check out the scenery. I can haul 12 bikes there, if some people fly to San Diego and get a rental Tacoma and we'd be all set to prerun and watch the race, takes about a week. In this video I had 2 gallons of gas strapped to my back with the tools and spare tubes, food and water. I was some what uncomfortable till I got rid of the gas

Cool video, Aki. From the looks of your shadow, it doesn't appear that you can sit down too often and enjoy the scenery. I'm sure the route is a lot rougher than the video shows it to be. Doing 1000 miles of it is beyond my comprehension. I'd consider going with you next year if I can find some of the sisu that you possess. I heard the formula for it is locked in a vault somewhere in Helsinki.

Thanks. The Yamaha I rode had about 650 miles of hard riding on it by that day and tires, chains and brakes were toast. I switched to the XR next day. I rode about 300 miles that day, the first 50 was like that, decent jeep road, then it went to 7000 plus feet over a mountain range, the climb was hard but going down was real nasty. The problem was too that once over that ridge I had to come back over it again. I broke my chains in some canyon about 30 miles short of the highway and Jim who was in the start of that video jumped on the XR and rode 30 miles backwards on the race course to bring me supplies. WE made it to the highway to next pit just before dark. It was business as usual in Baja

Great video! It serves to further document your "Ironman" abilities.
