I hope you have a good ride, Scott. After running the SMS single track, you should smoke the tight sections. "BRZ"..... Breathe/ Relax / Get in your Zone.

I am so proud that I am bursting! Got to tell somebody!
Today at the the Bartow race the Gilmore boys distinguished themselves in hot and challenging conditions.
Darrell Gilmore (aka Silver Tiger) came in 27 of 48 in Sportsman 1 after a year off racing due to recuperating from a broken collarbone, a subsequent nasty muscle tear while testing the limits of his new KTM 500, and a recent flu. Not bad for a 66 year old man. He would have done much better had he not been knocked down by his son Clinton. (All is fair in love, war and dirt racing.) It took Darrell a few minutes to get the bike and himself out of the hole where he had been catapulted. He was riding "Stinky", Clint Lancaster's old 2014 KTM 250 2 stroke which did very well.
Darrell's son Clinton Gilmore (aka Pond Bird Jr.) came in 11 of 51 for his FIRST EVER race in the Beginners' class. (Where, as you know, sandbaggers rule... ) He would have done even better had he not fallen six times. Kudos and congratulations. He was riding "Grumpy", Mundy's 2008 KTM 250 XCFW, resurrected by John Bekanich. The bike did great.
(Those who say that KTMs do not last should take note).
You will see the Gilmore boys again...... ;0

Congrats to Darrell and Clinton! Oh, and have I mentioned lately that I still wish I hadn't sold that 250XCFW?
